Now most of the decks are the same but check out the new kid on the block, UW Flash.  If you have played Faeries before, then you kind of understand the premise of UW Flash.  This deck was first popularized the previous week by Adam Prozak, and despite going 0-2 in his Quarterfinals match, he thought the deck was very solid.  Here is a look at the SCG Dallas / Ft Worth winner deck list, Shane Remelt:

//U/W Flash, by Shane Remelt //Downloaded from StarCityGames.com 4 Augur of Bolas 4 Restoration Angel 4 Snapcaster Mage 4 Thought Scour 1 Sphinx's Revelation 4 Azorius Charm 2 Essence Scatter 3 Think Twice 2 Syncopate 4 Unsummon 1 Rewind 2 Dissipate 2 Runechanter's Pike 2 Moorland Haunt 4 Glacial Fortress 4 Hallowed Fountain 4 Plains 9 Island // Sideboard: SB: 1 Sphinx's Revelation SB: 3 Detention Sphere SB: 2 Supreme Verdict SB: 3 Geist of Saint Traft SB: 2 Purify the Grave SB: 2 Negate SB: 1 Erase SB: 1 Rewind
This deck doesn't have a whole lot of threats however the ones it does have can mostly come down on your opponents turn.  Why is this important?  Well, this type of deck allows you to hold up mana and bluff reactive cards (like countermagic) and if your opponent doesn't play a spell, you can play card drawing spells or play a flash creature and go on the offense.  Pike allows you to finish the game with one or two hits.

So let's take a look at the overall metagame since RTR was released:

This table should show the current evolving metagame.  Notice that many decks just fall of the radar for a while and others are just starting to show up.

Is that GW Aggro with 11 Top 16's in 6 weeks?  Do not sleep on aggro decks because GW has the tools to kill you in just a few hits.

I'll be back next week with data from SCG Seattle and GP Charleston to help you break the metagame.
